Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, speaking with youth, families and educators via public information points and community events. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on commonly abused substances, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. A short report is available via this Scientology Europe report.

Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan eu news ireland Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—supporting both community well-being and European civic values.”
